In November our team headed over to Fairoaks Airport in Cobham, where the tarmac apron area needed some key repairs. The apron is the area of the airport where the aircraft are parked, maintained, boarded, loaded and unloaded.
This meant repairs needed to be made quickly and efficiently, keeping disruption to a minimum. We got straight to work excavating key areas and laying down a new sub-base for the new tarmac surface. Next, the lads set about getting the new Stone Mastic Asphalt surface course laid. We then finished off the job by hot sealing all joints with Grip Strip jointing, as you can see in the pictures.
This was a great little project, ensuring that the apron at Fairoaks Airport is in tip-top condition for the foreseeable future!
