I wanted to send a very belated thank you for the wonderful job that you did with our front courtyard. It has made such a huge difference to the appearance of the house and also creates more light inside the house. The colour is a perfect match for the wall and bricks and we have already had a lot of compliments from neighbours and visitors. It’s great for my daughter as she now longer looks out of her bedroom onto a dull, grey patch of tatty old tarmac.

The project was particularly significant for me as it’s a bit of a tribute to my dad who died last year. He was a formidable gardener and helped me a lot with my gardens over the years and felt very strongly that the front garden should be just as much a showcase as the back. He lived on a main road but with a large front garden and people would often stop and comment on the garden as they were passing. Sadly he only visited us here a couple of times and wasn’t really able to take much in. I know, however, that if he had been more aware, he would have banged on about doing something with the front garden – probably until he had driven us mad! I’m really pleased that I was able to use some money he left me to create such a lovely space and that I managed to incorporate a few plants that he gave me over the years.
