Our customer had grown tired of their poorly laid and uneven patio area that was full of weeds and causing trip hazards in areas. It was decided this all needed to be removed and that a new Porcelain patio area with a red brick edge would give them the finish they wanted.
All the old stone material was removed for recycling and the sub standard sub base along with extended area dug out tipped away. We then set all levels and laid a solid concrete sub base for the new paving to be laid on top off.
The step was extended and built to improve access from the house to garden with the porcelain paving being laid in a brick bond style, on full mortar beds of sand and cement. This was complimented by a red brick edge to retain soil from bordering shrubs and give some contrast to the beige coloured paving slabs. Including the grouting which was applied using a pointing gun.
This project took just over a week to complete and has been really well received and admired.
