For this project at a new build development in Horley, the SGS team installed a set of brand-new patios with Indian sandstone and Block Paving, as well as a new tarmac roadway. This project was awarded to us by a development company based in Horley, called Comac Developments. It consisted of:
- 150m Block Paving
- 80m Indian Sandstone Paving
- Fencing
- 150m Tarmac
- 68 Linear Metres of Kerb Stones
- Land Drainage
- Surface Water Drainage
We were asked to take on the project after the main shell of the house was built which meant some large-scale excavations and groundworks were needed to run all the services into the properties. Once all the groundwork was completed we set about building a solid access road to mobilise the site.
The job progressed well through the winter months and we quickly set about installing a sub base for new patio areas, parking spaces, installing all the kerbs and a shared driveway entrance.
The patios were laid in four days and the same for the block paving. The site was then left for a month while the carpenters had their turn and we went off to complete other work.
The final part project was to lay the tarmac road which was completed in a day and finished off what was a very rewarding project.
